Jesse Hahn Called up from Triple-A, Will Start Thursday for the A's

August 4th, 2016

With Rich Hill now sporting Dodger blue, the Oakland Athletics have called up former top prospect Jesse Hahn to take his spot in the rotation. Hahn, 27, came over from the San Diego Padres back in 2015 and put up a solid season for the A's, posting a 3.35 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 16 starts.

Though, this season has been much different. Hahn started out the year incredibly slow, posting an era of six-plus before being sent down to the minors in early June. He did make a spot start against the Tampa Bay Rays late last month, yielding just one run and four hits in 7.1 innings.

Hahn is definitely someone to keep an eye on from a DFS perspective moving forward. He appears to be up with the big league club for good, a clear indication that he'll get consisent starts moving forward.

The first step here will be for him to perform well against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels on Thursday evening.
