Bengals Rookie DT Andrew Billings Out Indefinitely

August 15th, 2016

It's been a bad day for rookie offensive tackles as Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Andrew Billings, a fourth-round pick, joined New Orleans Saints rookie Sheldon Rankins on the serious injuries news front. On Monday, it was announced that Billings has a torn meniscus that will require surgery and will keep him out of action indefinitely. Given the nature of the injury and recovery time, Billings likely won't be back until late in the season if he even returns at all. Like Rankins, he could be a candidate for the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return spot.
