NFL Will Suspend Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers, James Harrison if Don't Cooperate by Aug. 25

August 15th, 2016

After weeks of the NFL not hearing from outside linebackers Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers and James Harrison to schedule an interview so they can investigate Al Jazeera's report last year, a letter from the NFL released on Monday revealed that the NFL will suspend the players indefinitely if they don't meet with NFL officials by August 25.

With 10 days left until the deadline, it will be a major story to monitor to see if players now step up to do interviews, answer questions and avoid the suspension or if they ignore the NFL's threats, get suspended and take them to court. There isn't a lot of fantasy impact here, but it is one of the biggest NFL storylines in months, especially if the players get suspended.

Linebacker Mike Neal is included, but is currently a free agent and a suspension would only hurt what seems like low chances he gets signed.
