Ten young women have earned 2015 LPGA Tour cards by finishing inside the top-10 on the Symetra Tour money list.
The Symetra Tour consisted of 20 tournaments in 2014 held around the United States.
Marita Engzelius won the Symetra Tour Championship, the final tournament of the season, on Sunday at Daytona Beach, Florida.
Although she opened with a two-over-par 74 on Thursday, Engzelius finished with rounds of 68-67-69 to find herself in a playoff with Jackie Stoelting and Demi Runas. She was able to birdie the first playoff hole and eliminate both Stoelting and Runas.
The win was not enough to move her into the Top 10, but it does put her in a good frame of mind for the LPGA Tour Q-School, which will award additional LPGA Tour cards.
Marissa Steen topped the money list on the 2014 Symetra Tour with three wins and 10 top-10 finishes. She is from Ohio and attended the University of Memphis.
Twenty-four-year-old Min Seo Kwak from South Korea played part-time on the LPGA Tour in 2012 and 2013, but she will be playing on the big tour full-time next season.
She made every cut on the Symetra Tour and chalked up two wins. She won the Chico’s Patty Berg Memorial and the Firekeepers Casino Hotel Championship.
Jackie Stoelting didn’t win the Symetra Tour Championship playoff, but was one of the most consistent players on tour all year. She was the winner on Golf Channel’s Big Break Florida earlier this year.
She is very consistent, only missing one cut in 19 starts and finishing inside the top-10 on seven occasions.
Another Big Break alum, Sadena Parks finished fourth on the Symetra Tour money list and earned her 2014 LPGA Tour card.
Nineteen-year-old Min Lee finished fifth on the Symetra Tour money list and is headed to the LPGA Tour.
Rounding out the final five spots are:
Wei-Ling Hsu another teenager from Teipei.
Cindy Feng an 18-year-old from China.
Kendall Dye from Oklahoma.
Demi Runas’ loss in the playoff at the Symetra Tour Championship was enough to move her from No. 15 to No. 9 on the money list and earn her 2015 tour privileges.
Yet another, Big Break alum, Mallory Backwelder finished No. 10 and will join her father and brother both caddies on the LPGA Tour next season.
One of the most notable names on the Symetra Tour, Cheyenne Woods failed to earn her LPGA Tour card, but finished T-12 at the Symetra Tour Championship and will enter Q-School to try to make it to the big tour for next season.
