Adam Scott opened up a seven-stroke lead at the Arnold Palmer Invitational through 36 holes, but saw his huge lead evaporate on Saturday.
He posted a 10-under par 62 in the first round on Thursday and followed up with a four-under par 68 to get to 14-under par. He did not find the course quite as easy on Saturday and struggled to post a one-under par 71.
Keegan Bradley with three rounds of 71-67-66 is at 12-under par and just three shots back of the leader.
Matt Every shot a third-round 66 and is tied with Jason Kokrack for third place at 11-under par.
Chesson Hadley and Francesco Molinari are T-5 after firing matching three-under par 69's. Hadley is in his rookie season on the PGA Tour and won two weeks ago in Puerto Rico.
Molinari has three European Tour wins and has been on two Ryder Cup teams, but has yet to win on the PGA Tour.
Ian Poulter is solo seventh at eight-under par.
Scott started with birdies on four of his first six holes on Thursday and eagled the par-5 No. 16 to get to six-under par through his first seven holes. He made par at No. 17 and recorded his only bogey of the day at No. 18 for a front nine five-under par 31.
He continued his strong play on his back nine with a birdie at No. 3 and his second eagle of the round at No. 4. Two more birdies at Nos. 6 and 7 got him to five-under par for his back nine and an aggregate of 10-under par 62.
Everything seemed to be working for Scott through the first two rounds, but his third-round 71 on Saturday allowed several players ot narrow the gap. The final round on Sunday could get interesting if he struggles on the front nine.
It appeared that Scott had this tournament won after 36 hles, but there are now five players within five shots of the lead.
