Jason Dufner Has Had A Dream Season in 2012

Jason Dufner has had a big year.  He won two tournaments, added a near miss runner-up at Colonial, had eight top-10 finishes, and oh yeah, got married the week before the Players Championship.

What a difference a year can make. Beginning with the 2011 Crowne Plaza Jason missed the cut in seven of nine events. He did get a T-8 at the Byron Nelson plus that memorable playoff loss to Keegan Bradley in the PGA Championship.

He won over $3 million last year and finished at No. 25 in the FedEx Cup standings.

Jason started out 2012 with another missed cut in the first event of the year at the Sony Championship in Hawaii. It would be his only missed cut of the year.

He has become one of the most productive and consistent players on the PGA Tour in 2012. In addition to his wins at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans and the Byron Nelson Championship Jason collected a runner-up at the same Crowne Plaza Invitational in which he had missed the cut last year.

He has eight top-10 finishes in 21 events this year including 13 top-25 finishes and has collected $4.7 million in prize money. He has moved up to No. 6 on the Official World Golf Rankings. Tiger Woods is the only American player currently ranked higher than Dufner on the OWGR.

Jason comes into the Tour Championship ranked No. 10 in the FedEx Cup standings. If he could get a win this week in Atlanta he could also find himself holding the FedEx Cup trophy filled with $10 million.
