Team USA might lag behind Team Europe in experience, especially since it will be carrying four rookies compared to just one by the Euros.

But the American rookies are no ordinary first timers. They are unflapabble and in the past year they have won more big titles that 11 of the 12 European players.

Two of them have won a major, one won the FedEx Cup and the other lost a major in a playoff and almost won three times in a four-week span.

The American rookies can help anyone they partner with this weekend.  Not to fear, I would take my chances with them any time; they will be the key to Team USA’s win this weekend.

Let’s meet the four outstanding Ryder Cup rookies on the American squad.

Brandt Snedeker
Rory McIlroy might be the hottest player in the world—besides holding the No. 1 ranking—but Brandt Snedeker is not far behind.

The FedEx Cup champ just validated his Captain's Pick status with his remarkable performance capturing the title out finishing the world’s best players.

He has two wins and seven top 10 finishes this year, one of the wins being the Tour Championship this past weekend.

Snedeker is a lights-out putter who leads the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained-Putting by a mile with an average of .860, which is .63 over Luke Donald who is second.

He has all the confidence in the world coming into the Ryder Cup and that will help given the fact that this will be his debut on the competition.

He can complement any player so if his nerves hold up under pressure, he will be a key to Team USA’s win.

Jason Dufner
Dufner was at one point in the year the hottest player on tour. He came close to winning three times in a four-week span during the middle of the season and amassed nearly $5 million this year.

That to be counted among his eight top-10 finishes this year on the PGA Tour.

He ranks third on the PGA Tour in Proximity to Hole and fourth in Green in Regulation and Scoring Average.

He possesses a calmness and swagger about him that could come in handy in the cauldron once it starts heating up.

Dufner's struggled with the putter of late, but he has been a ball-striking machine for most of the year and if he can straighten that up, he is someone that could pair well with anybody on the team.

Webb Simpson
Last year he was just a step from winning the FedEx Cup, but this year he was a non-factor although he finished climbing up nine spots on the final week to finish 16th.

Simpson has one win (U.S. Open) and a third-place finish among his seven top 10s this year on the PGA.

He went into a funk after his U.S. Open win, but you could attribute that to the rustiness he had due to the time off to attend the birth of his second child.

His finish (T5) at the Tour Champions last weekend could indicate that he is yet another American player rounding into form at the right moment.

Simpson is a rock-solid player that, even for a Ryder Cup rookie, has the mental toughness that requires rising up to the occasion.

He is a very versatile player that would complement anyone he is paired with.

Keegan Bradley
He won last year's PGA Championship on his major debut. Since then he has been a model of inconsistency.

He has one win, one second-place and a third-place among his five top 10s on the PGA Tour this year. This gives you an idea of the all-or-nothing performance that seems to characterize him.

His lone win this year was at the WGC Bridgestone, and he followed that up with a tied for third-place finish trying to defend his PGA Championship title.

After that, he went into another slump, which could be a good thing considering that he gets out of them with top performances and the Ryder Cup is just the kind of event he relishes.

Bradley's fiery personality and steely demeanor are perfect for the Ryder Cup. He has ice on his veins and is a total match for this event.  We’ve seen him thrive in pressure-packed situations before by making big putt after big putt.

Expect more this weekend.
