The Los Angeles Angels will be without starting third baseman Yunel Escobar for the next two-to-four weeks with a strained left hamstring he suffered in Saturday's game.
Escobar's timetable for return will heavily depend on how he responds to rest for the next 10 days or so.
Picked up by the Angels prior to last season, Escobar had a tremendous first season in Southern California. He hit .304 with a .355 on-base percentage. Though, his lack of power (five homers) limited his fantasy viability, especially at a position where power itself is valued a great deal.
With Escobar out of action, the recently re-called Jefry Marte will share time at third base with veteran Cliff Pennington.
