After putting up 29 homers and 82 RBI for the Houston Astros during a breakout 2016 campaign, young outfielder George Springer has picked up where he left off to start the 2017 season.
The 27-year-old Springer hit a walk-off three-run homer against Seattle Mariners reliever Chase De Jong in the 13th inning on Wednesday evening. It came with two outs in the bottom of the frame and Houston down by a run. Talk about dramatics.
Now, through three games this season, Springer is hitting at a cool .308 average with two homers and six RBI. If he can continue to keep that average up from the .261 mark he posted last year, Springer will be a DFS dynamo moving forward this season.
