Biggest Fantasy Baseball Surprises of Week 11

Week 11 of the regular season was a lot like every other week of the year including a huge brawl between the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks. Some odd suspensions were given out but that’s besides the point. Back to the most surprising performances of week 11.

Mike Carp,  Left Fielder, Boston Red Sox

The tatted up outfielder for the Red Sox has been having himself a great season. He is batting an impressive .324 with eight home runs and 25 RBIs. His week numbers are what is even more impressive as he batted .333 with three home runs and six RBIs. The home runs were more than expected for the week as he hit almost half of his yearly dingers in week 11 alone. He had three walks and six strikeouts overall and looked good at the plate. To go with these stats are the amount of runs he scored which was five. The Sox are playing great this year and are in first place in the AL East.

Tyler Colvin,  Right Fielder, Colorado Rockies

If Colvin can do what he did this week all year the Rockies are going to have a  very potent offense. Three home runs and eight RBIs are what he had to his name this week which is superb. He had seven hits in 21 at-bats along with one walk but five strikeouts. The Rockies are playing surprisingly well this year but without impressive pitching it will be hard for this team to really make a impact on the league.

Anthony Rizzo,  First Basemen, Chicago Cubs

Rizzo didn’t blow anyone away with ridiculous stats but it was his walks that made him join this list. He batted .174 on the week but was walked nine times! This gives him an OBP of .406 which is nothing short of great. He even stole a base this week and only struck out three times. The Cubs are having a tough time of it this year as their bullpen might be one of the worst we have seen in along time. Regardless we should show respect to Rizzo for recording nine walks in seven games.
