The Milwaukee Brewers had a surprisingly succesful month of May and now entering June, will welcome back a key part of their lineup. Right fielder Domingo Santana was activated off the 15-day disabled list on Friday, returning from a right shoulder strain that kept him out over two weeks.
Santana played three games in Double-A as part of his rehab assignment collecting two hits in six at bats with a home run and four walks. Before Santana was placed on the disabled list on May 18, he was hitting .239 with three home runs and 13 RBI's.
While his batting average left plenty to be desired as a leadoff hitter, but had dran 19 walks to give him a .353 on-base percentage., his 45 strikeouts in 36 games reflected the three outcome hitter Santana is. He will be moved down to eighth in the Brewers' lineup though with a healthy shulder, hopefully more of his massive power returns and he can put up 20-plus home runs this season.
