After going 1-for-8 in Tuesday's twinbill, Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo will be given a day off Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field.
It's somewhat unfortunate for those who own Rizzo in fantasy baseball leagues. Chicago is taking on a Rockies starter in German Marquez who has posted a 7.31 ERA and 1.69 WHIP in three starts this season. Though, Rizzo is only a .235 career hitter at Coors field and has slumped to a .218 average thus far this season.
With Rizzo out, Jeimer Candelario will man first and bat clean-up for the defending champs. It will be just the second start for him this season after he also started the second half of Tuesdays doubleheader at third.
