It's one of the most freakish injuries you will see on the baseball diamond. Chicago Cubs third baseman and reigning NL MVP Kris Bryant left Wednesday's game against the Washington Nationals after he injured his ankle stepping on third base after catching a pop up mid-game.
Following the game, it was reported that Bryant has a mild ankle sprain and could potentially be placed on the disabled list.
Bryant, 25, is hitting .264 with 16 homers and 32 RBI on the season.
Chicago will have an update on Bryant Thursday.
