Darvish has been great upon his return from Tommy John surgery, and he has actually displayed better control than most pitchers in their first season coming out of Tommy John surgery. He only has 25 walks in his 82.1 innings, and he has struck out 103 which is fantastic. In his last 10 starts he has allowed more than three runs only once, and he should be able to keep that trend going when he takes on a weka Athletics offense. The A's only rank 27th in runs, 28th in slugging percentage, and 24th in batting average. Darvish has only failed to go at least six innings in one of his last 10 starts, and has struck out eight or more hitters in six of those starts, making him a great play tonight.
