Starting Pitcher

Top Play

Jose Quintana, Chicago White Sox $8,800

Quintana is having the best season of his career, and for the fourth straight season the Chicago work horse has gone above 200 innings pitched.  Now to pad his stats, for his final start of the season he gets to pitch against the weak Rays offense.    The Rays rank only 24th in runs, and 27th in batting average.  in their last nine games they have scored five or more runs only twice, and as a result are only two and seven in those games.  Finding teams that are not winning often is very important as it raises the odds of the opposing pitcher collecting a win especially when its against a team with a weak offense and underperforming pitching.
