Baltimore Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy has had a roller coaster journey over the past five seasons. From first-round pick in 2011 to a top-five prospect in baseball in 2012 and the following seasons derailed by arm injuries, Bundy's health has not let him live up to the hype.
Now without any minor-league options remaining, the 23-year-old will have to make things work as a reliever this year in Baltimore according to MASNSports's Richard Kubatko.
It ultimately makes sense, especially when the eventual Yovani Gallardo signing becomes official and the Orioles line up their rotation more. Bundy hasn't thrown 50-plus innings in a season since 2012 and is coming off a 2015 season where he threw just 22 innings in Double A.
Bundy is off the fantasy radar this year in re-draft leagues and given his history of injuries and current role, he holds little value in dynasty leagues. Hopefully Bundy can just show in 2016 he can stay healthy, then see if he can gain some of his old form from there.
