Fantasy Baseball Daily - April 30, 2014

Hopefully everybody has had success this year playing daily’s.  After back to back nights without any day games we have two day games with the rest of the league playing at 7pm or later.  If you so choose you can play only night games and have plenty of players left to choose from with their only being two day games.

We bring you fantasy daily picks for FanDuel  .com and if you haven’t signed up yet, be sure to follow this link http://eDraft.com/FanDuel/MLB to receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit. This is an amazing deal that you can’t miss so be sure to check it out and make yourself some extra cash . The cap for FanDuel is $35,000 with only one player at each position like a real MLB lineup (with the exception of outfielders where you can start any three players that are outfield eligible).

The scoring system for FanDuel   is as follows:

Batters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt

Good Value Plays

Pitcher
Tim Hudson, Giants, $6,900:
Hudson has been extremely impressive early in the season for the Giants.  He has gone at least seven innings in every start, and has given up more than two runs only once in five starts and that was against the Rockies and their high powered offense.  Next up for Hudson is a welcoming start at home against the Padres.  This is a great opportunity for the veteran to keep his streak alive of going at least seven innings in every start, and he should do this without giving up many runs or hits.

Catcher
Derek Norris, Athletics, $3,100:
When he is in the lineup Norris is daily lineup superstar.  Norris has at least one hit in his last six games and has two hits in each of his last four games.  Robbie Ross has been excellent this year for the Rangers but Norris is so hot right now that if he is in the lineup I don’t see anyway that he doesn’t manage at least one hit and an RBI.

First Base
Eric Hosmer, Royals, $3,200:
Hosmer has been a staple in my daily lineups lately. He continues to produce with seven runs scored and tow RBI in his last seven games.  As long as Hosmer remains around the $3,000 mark he is worth plugging into your lineup.  Hosmer continues to bat for a high average and eventually he is going to run into his first homerun of the year and you will have a steal in your lineup at the price he costs.

Second Base
Daniel Murphy, Mets, $3,000:
Murphy right now can do wrong at the plate or on the base paths.  He has a ten game hitting streak going during which he has seven runs scored, four RBI and four stolen bases.  It would be wise to start Murphy while he is on this hot streak and earn yourself some easy cash.

Third Base
David Freese, Angels, $3,000:
Freese is finally turning his season around after being perhaps the only player to struggle more this year than Pablo Sandoval.  Freese is batting .400 over his last four games with his second homerun of the year.  With a matchup against Carlos Carrasco today the odds are looking good that Freese will continue his recent string of success.   Carrasco has an ERA of 6.95 and a start against the Angels offense may be the final straw that causes him to lose his starting job.

Short Stop
Erick Aybar, Angels, $3,300:
Aybar is one of the hottest third baseman in the game right now.  In his previous eight games Aybar has eight runs scored seven RBI and one homerun to go along with his only steal.  As previously stated with Freese, with Carrasco on the mound it’s unlikely that his recent hot streak goes cold.

Outfield
Torii Hunter, Tigers, $3,200:
Who says age has to slow you down.  That certainly does not seem to apply to Hunter.  In 2014 Hunter is batting .310 with 10 runs scored, three homeruns, and 13 RBI.  Hector Noesi is the probable starter for the White Sox today and has an ERA above 11.  This is a juicy matchup that you will not want to miss out on.

My Lineup

Pitcher
Tim Hudson, Giants, $6,900

Catcher
Derek Norris, Athletics, $3,100

First Base
Eric Hosmer, Royals, $3,200

Second Base
Dee Gordon, Dodgers, $3,4000

Third Base
David Freese, Angels, $3,000

Short Stop
Erick Aybar, Angels, $3,300

Outfield
Torii Hunter, Tigers, $3,200

Outfield
Mike Trout, Angels, $5,600:
A fantastic matchup mixed with the fact that he is the best overall player in baseball makes this an easy choice.  I used essentially my entire value lineup which made getting Trout an affordable option.

Outfield
Adam Eaton, White Sox, $3,300

Don't forget to check your lineup before each game to make sure that everyone in your lineup is starting. The last thing you want is a zero spot in your lineup costing yourself money.
