Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win  = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt

My Value Picks

Pitcher
Brandon McCarthy, Yankees, $7,100:
McCarthy has been a changed man since coming over to New York. He has allowed more than one run only once and that was in his second start against the Rangers.  McCarthy’s success is not a case of facing bad offenses either has he has faced teams like the Tigers and the Indians whom he faces again today.  With more use of his cutter McCarthy has found success pitching in the Bronx and with his great sinker he is able to keep the ball in the ball park.  With a near strikeout per inning since coming to New York McCarthy makes for a great start today even against the potent Indians offense.

Catcher
Devin Mesoraco, Reds, $3,200:
The power has seen a huge drop off from the beginning of the season but the batting average is still very good at .289 and has actually been better the last 15 days where his batting average sits at .295.  The Marlins starter has not been announced for tomorrow but Mesoraco has proven time and time again that he is one of the top hitting catchers in the league.

First Base
Kennys Vargas, Twins, $2,200:
The Rookie has been pretty good for the Twins since getting the call up to the majors about a week ago.  He already has five runs scored and seven RBI to go along with one homerun. His .280 batting average is right in line with his numbers in the minors and at his frame 6’5” 273 pounds Vargas should be a legit power threat even at spacious target field.  Despite the tough matchup Vargas is so dirt cheap and has been so productive up to this point it’s hard to pass up on him.

Second Base
Joe Panik, Giants, $2,500:
Panik has been good for the Giants this season particularly over the last two weeks.  During that span he is batting .367 but only has three runs and three RBI to show for it.  Despite the tough matchup against James Shields Panik has been red hot and as a left handed bat should have decent success against the righty.

Third Base
Chris Johnson, Braves, $3,000:
Johnson hasn’t seen the type of success that he sustained last year in his breakout campaign but he has still remained a relatively productive third baseman this season.  At a position that is not loaded with talent you could do a lot worse than Johnson especially at his low price tag.

Short Stop
Javier Baez, Cubs, $3,100:
Since getting called up just a couple days ago Baez has lived up to the hype and has already belted three homeruns and is batting .286 in only four games played.  The power is legitimate and with Jake Odorizzi on the mound for the Rays, Baez has a good shot at belting his fourth homerun in only his fifth game tomorrow.

Outfield
Ben Revere, Phillies, $3,100:
Revere is red hot at the plate right batting .372 over the last month.  However batting for the Phillies has led to Revere only scoring 11 runs.  He could also be more aggressive on the base paths with his speed as he also only has five steals the last 30 days.  Regardless someone getting on base this much has value in daily baseball as it means he won’t get negative points which is detrimental to your team.

My Lineup

Pitcher
Yu Darvish, Rangers, $11,100

Catcher
Devin Mesoraco, Reds, $3,200

First Base
Kennys Vargas, Twins, $2,200

Second Base
Joe Panik, Giants, $2,500

Third Base
David Wright, Mets, $2,600

Short Stop
Hanley Ramirez, Dodgers, $3,600

Outfield
Ben Revere, Phillies, $3,100

Outfield
Justin Upton, Braves, $3,100

Outfield
Denard Span, Nationals, $3,400

Don't forget to check your lineup before each game to make sure that everyone in your lineup is starting. The last thing you want is a zero spot in your lineup costing yourself money.
