If you have be coming to us here at eDraft for your daily lineup advice you are probably having a good year so far. The key to winning is playing that hot batters not necessarily the big name players. You have to put aside any prejudices you have for your favorite team and look solely at the stats to build a winning lineup. With that said tomorrow is another wonderful day of baseball where we look to add to the money we have already won this year. Tomorrow brings us another full slate of baseball games that includes only one day game, but it’s a particularly early one with a 12:10 ET start that features the Braves and Mariners in Atlanta.
We bring you fantasy daily picks for FanDuel .com and if you haven’t signed up yet, be sure to follow this link http://eDraft.com/FanDuel/MLB to receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit. This is an amazing deal that you can’t miss so be sure to check it out and make yourself some extra cash. The cap for FanDuel is $35,000 with only one player at each position like a real MLB lineup (with the exception of outfielders where you can start any three players that are outfield eligible).
The scoring system for FanDuel is as follows:
Batters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt
My Good Value Plays
Pitcher
Garrett Richards, Angels, $7,000: Richards has been a little shaky of late having surrendered five runs in two of his last three games which includes a game against these same Astros. Before last start Richard had gone seven innings in seven of his last nine games and went six innings in those other two starts. In a revenge game against the 25th ranked Astros offense Richards should rebound nicely and get his season back on track.
Catcher
Miguel Montero, Diamondbacks, $3,200: Montero has swung a much better bat this past week. He has hit safely in five of his last six games, and carries his hot bat into a series in Colorado. Jordan Lyles has been Colorado’s best pitcher this season but Montero as a power hitter gets a big boost from the confines of Coors field.
First Base
Adam LaRoche, Nationals, $3,300: LaRoche has been a hitting machine since coming off the disabled list. He has at least one base hit in six of the seven games he’s played since coming off the DL which includes two homeruns. LaRoche also has four runs scored and seven RBI in that span while batting in the middle of what should be a potent offense with his return along side the return of Ryan Zimmerman. Next up for the Nationals is a game with A.J. Burnett on the mound who has been a walks machine during his last four starts. That means plenty of base runners for the Nationals and plenty of RBI opportunities for LaRoche.
Second Base
Dustin Pedroia, Red Sox, $3,000: Pedroia is not having a good season by his standards but in that potent Red Sox lineup he has still been able to score a ton of runs. A guy who is usually good for double digit steals and homeruns has only two of each on the season and is only batting .273. There is hope though, Pedroia has hits in eight of last nine games. At only $3,000 it’s difficult to argue with starting the perennial all star second baseman.
Third Base
Yangervis Solarte, Yankees, $2,900: After a rough patch Solarte is heating back up at the plate, and has his average back up near the .3000 level. Solarte has recorded three multi hit games out of his last five games. The pitcher for tonight is Jesse Chavez who has been much shakier this past month than he was in April.
Short Stop
Jean Segura, Brewers, $2,800: Segura began the season much like how he ended it, by not batting well but he has continued to heat up with the weather. Segura has now scored 12 runs in his last 12 games to bring his season total to 31. Next up for Segura is Ricky Nolasco and his putrid 5.70 ERA. Nolasco’s uncanny ability to still have a job with such bad stats should aid in Segura’s ability to keep his run scoring streak going.
Outfield
Jayson Werth, Nationals, $2,800: Back to back days Werth has made my list of value picks for daily players. He continues to be undervalued at only $2,800 and he loves to face his former team the Phillies. Werth had only one hit last night but he made it count by driving in two. With Burnett struggling to keep runners off the bases Werth will have more than his fair share of RBI opportunities.
