After only having five games being played yesterday it sure is nice having a full slate of games to choose from again. Once again we have only night games being played tonight with the first game being the Orioles and the Pirates at 7:05 ET. With that being said lets divulge into these games and see who we are going to select tonight to win us some money.

The scoring system for FanDuel is as follows:
Batters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt
My Value Picks
Pitcher
Josh Beckett, Dodgers, $6,700: Josh Beckett has had a rejuvenating season and found the fountain of youth in his age 34 season. Beckett owns a strikeout rate just south of 9K/9. He has also has a sparkling 2.38 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. Up next for Beckett are the Mets who have the second lowest batting average in the majors and have struggled all season long to score runs. Even better is that the game is in New York where virtually every Mets hitter has struggled to hit. Guys such as Curtis Granderson and Eric YoungJR are batting below the Mendoza line at home. Beckett should have a dominant start tonight and be worth every penny spent on him.
Catcher
Derek Norris, Athletics, $3,200: Norris has come out of nowhere this season to become a valuable asset in daily lineups. You’ll be hard pressed to find any batter with a .354 batting average let alone a catcher. He is batting in the middle of a powerful A’s lineup and as long as that continues with his ability to hit for some power and a high batting average he should have no shortage of RBI opportunities.
First Base
Michael Morse, Giants, $3,200: Always known as a streaky batter Morse is hot at the plate right now so it is time to get him into your lineups. He is currently riding a five game hitting streak in which he has homered twice scored five runs and driven in four. With the lefty Franklin Morales on the mound for the Rockies in Colorado there’s a good chance Morse can get one elevated and at Coors Field there is always the chance for a cheap homerun just by elevating the ball in the thin air there.
Second Base
Kolten Wong, Cardinals, $3,000: the way Wong has swung the bat since getting called back up to the majors he looks like he belongs. Wong has collected at least one hit in every game since coming back and has three runs scored with three RBI and two steals. Next up for Wong is a matchup against Bronson Arroyo who has actually been decent this year outside of two starts where he gave up nine runs and five runs. Regardless of how he has pitched the bullpen has been atrocious which has led to the Diamondbacks leading the majors in runs against. Wong and the rest of the Cardinals lineup should have a field day tomorrow scoring plenty of runs.
Third Base
Pablo Sandoval, Giants, $2,800: With the way the panda has been swinging the bat of late it’s hard to argue against starting him. He currently has a nine game hitting streak and just hit his third homeruns of the season. Playing in Colorado also provides a nice boost when looking for a player to start as it may very well be the best hitters ballpark in all of baseball.
Short Stop
Everth Cabrera, Padres, $2,700: Cabrera who has struggled much of the season is beginning to show life at the plate. Never a guy known for power he now has two homeruns in his last four games but more importantly for the speedster is that he has stolen a base in back to back games. Kevin Correia is the pitcher on the mound for the Twins who has been atrocious this year. If it weren’t for most of the Twins other starters also struggling, Correia likely would have been removed from the rotation which is exactly the kind of pitcher you want to start batters against.
Outfield
Matt Holliday, Cardinals, $3,200: Holliday hasn’t hit for the power we have grown accustomed to seeing from Holliday but a series against the Diamondbacks can change all of that in a hurry. Today’s game should be a wake up call for Holliday as he tries to get both his batting average and his power numbers back on track with his career norms.
