Tuesday is upon us and with that comes day game baseball. Today we have four day games that includes a particularly early game in Cleveland which starts at 12:05 ET.
We bring you fantasy daily picks for FanDuel .com and if you haven’t signed up yet, be sure to follow this link http://eDraft.com/FanDuel/MLB to receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit. This is an amazing deal that you can’t miss so be sure to check it out and make yourself some extra cash . The cap for FanDuel is $35,000 with only one player at each position like a real MLB lineup (with the exception of outfielders where you can start any three players that are outfield eligible).
The scoring system for FanDuel is as follows:
Hitters: Single = 1pt, Double = 2pts, Triple = 3pts, Homerun = 4pts, RBI = 1pt, Run = 1pt, Walk = 1pt,
Stolen Base = 2pts, Hit By Pitch = 1, Out (calculated as at bats - hits) = -.25pt
Pitchers: Win = 4pts, Earned Run = -1pt, Strike Out = 1pt, Innings Pitched = 1pt
Good Value Players
Pitcher
Hyun-Jin Ryu. Dodgers, $7,100: Finally coming back from injury Ryu comes back to a soft, weak hitting offense. The Mets have the second worst team batting average in baseball and are particularly awful at home. This lefty should have a warm welcome back to the rotation and dominate this putrid offense.
Catcher
John Ryan Murphy, Yankees, $2,600: Murphy has been a very productive backup catcher for the Yankees this year. With the Yankees having played a night game last night and having a day game today I’m expecting Murphy to get the start. If he does get the start he makes for a good play as he’s batting .400 in limited time. Be sure to check around noon when lineups are released, and if you see Murphy is in the starting lineup he is a cheap value play today.
Fist Base
Adam Lind, Blue Jays, $3,000: After not playing last night Lind will find himself back in the lineup with a right hander on the mound. Clay Buchholz is that projected starter today and has been absolutely terrible this year posting an ERA above 6 and a WHIP of 1.80. Buchholz has walked at least three batters in three of his last four games, with such a plethora of runners being put on base Lind should have plenty of chances to drive in runs today.
Second Base
Gordon Beckham, White Sox, $2,800: Beckham has been on a nice little tear since the calendar turned to May. He’s batting .313 with three homeruns in May. As long as the return of Adam Eaton only drops Gordon down to the two hole he should have plenty of run scoring value with the occasional chance to hit a homerun.
Third Base
David Freese, Angels, $3,000: In his return back from injury Freese came back in a big way and picked where he left off collecting two hits and driving in four. Anytime you get to Astros pitching that’s a benefit so that makes Freese a logical choice if you are looking for a cheap option at third base.
Short Stop
Ian Desmond, Nationals, $3,000: Despite going hitless last night Desmond has still hit the ball very well of late. He has multiple hits in four of his last six games and faces Alfredo Simon tonight. Even though Simon has pitched well this year he’s not the kind of pitcher capable of shutting down a hot hitter of Desmond’s ability.
Outfield
Adam Eaton, White Sox, $3,000: Eaton hasn’t lit the world on fire since coming back but he has at least collected a hit in all three games and has scored three runs. A little bit of rust was to be expected for a speedster coming back from his second hamstring injury. However with Jeremy Guthrie on the mound for the Royals today could be the day where Eaton collects multiple hits and crosses home plate a couple of times.
