The rain is finally gone and the weather is finally starting to heat up. With warm weather brings hot bats so some of those superstar players that have struggled through the first month may start to find their way at the plate. We have 15 games being played today which includes five day games. Today I look to keep my streak going with another win as my lineups have produced very well this week.
We bring you fantasy daily picks for FanDuel .com and if you haven’t signed up yet, be sure to follow this link http://eDraft.com/FanDuel/MLB to receive a 100% deposit bonus on your initial deposit. Good Value Plays
Pitcher
Tanner Roark, Nationals, $5,800: Roark has been very good especially in his last two start where he has thrown 15.2 scoreless innings which includes a complete game shutout his last time out against the Padres. While Roark isn’t likely to throw another shutout as the Padres have one of the weakest offense in all of baseball it doesn’t mean he can’t be serviceable. The Phillies don’t exactly have a power house offense and at only $5,800 it’s difficult to pass up this player.
Catcher
Mike Zunino, Mariners, $2,600: Zunino has been better of late, and has increased his average from .235 to 2.68 over the past three games. He started this streak with a four for five performance against the Yankees ands followed it up with his fourth homerun of the season last night against the Astros. With another matchup against the lowly Astros now is a good time to get Zunino into your starting lineups.
First Base
Allen Craig, Cardinals, $2,900: After an atrocious start to the season the bat is finally coming alive for Craig. During his current six game hitting streak Craig is batting .400 with four runs scored, six RBI and two homeruns. You will be hard pressed to find better at the first base value especially when a player of Craig’s caliber is this hot at the plate. You will not want to miss out on this opportunity to get such a great player at such a low price.
Second Base
Emilio Bonifacio, Cubs, $3,400: Bonifacio has been productive all season long and is on a roll at the plate right now. He has two hits in each of his last three games which includes a run in each of those games to go along with one RBI and a steal. While he probably wont be able to get a steal with Yadier Molina behind the plate he’s likely going to at least hit the ball and score a run or two.
Third Base
Casey McGehee, Marlins, $3,200: After a hot start McGehee really cooled off at the plate, but has turned it on again over the last three games. During his last three games he is batting .583 with two runs and three RBI. With the struggling, soft tossing Paul Maholm on the mound, McGehee has good odds at plating some runs while continuing his hitting streak.
Short Stop
Andrelton Simmons, Braves, $3,200: Always known for his superb defense, Simmons bat has really come around this year. Even though he has not had a multi hit game since April 21st a game with Ryan Vogelsong on the mound should cure that problem. Vogelsong has been anything but good for the Giants the past two years, and I look for Simmons to capitalize on the easy matchup.
Outfield
Torii Hunter, Tigers, $3,100: Despite his continued production at the plate he continues to be undervalued in daily’s. At only $3,100 it’s extremely difficult not to start him day in and day out. Hunter currently has a solid nine game hitting streak, where he continues to defy father time and produce like he is ten years younger. The veteran is batting over .300 and with a lefty on the mound for the Royals there is a good chance this nine game hitting streak becomes a ten game hitting streak.
