There was some question as to whether Jon Gray or Tyler Chatwood would open the season as the Colorado Rockies' starter. 

That question was answered in full just a few days before Opening Day. The Rockies announced on Thursday that Gray, 25, would in fact act as the team's unofficial ace to begin the season. He will get his first start Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. 

Gray finished last season with a 10-10 record and 4.61 ERA and 1.26 WHIP while striking out 185 batters in 168 innings. With that said, Gray's splits away from Coors Field were considerably worst than at home. While that's surely an oddity, it's something to keep an eye on if you're looking for an under-the-radar DFS play Opening Day. 

As to where the youngster finished with a 7-2 record and 4.30 ERA at home, he posted 3-8/4.91 split on the road.
