After just one start with the Minnesota Twins, veteran lefty Jaime Garcia is now a member of the New York Yankees. Just over a week after acquiring Garcia from the Atlanta Braves, Minnesota has sent Garcia to the Yankees for two minor leaguers. 

It's a solid move for the first-plate Yankees, as they look to improve the back-end of their rotation. While not spectacular, the 31-year-old Garcia has definitely gotten the job done this year. He's pitching to a 4.29 ERA with a 1.34 WHIP and 4.04 FIP on the season. He's also coming off a start against the Oakland Athletics that saw him yield three runs while striking out seven batters in 6.2 innings. 

The addition of Garcia doesn't necessarily mean New York is done here. It's been linked to A's ace Sonny Gray, a deal that could get done prior to Monday's trade deadline. 

Heading to Minnesota in the deal are minor league pitchers Zack Littell and Dietrich Enns. 

Neither player were ranked among the Yankees' top-30 prospects heading into the season, but Littell has pitched extremely well in the minors this season. He boasts an absurd 14-1 record with a 1.87 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and has struck out 109 batters in 115 innings between single and double-a.
