The San Francisco Giants on Sunday activated veteran outfielder Hunter Pence from the DL after he's missed the past three weeks due to a strained hamstring. While Pence is not in the lineup on Sunday, he will likely return to the middle of the order here soon.
The 34-year-old outfielder is hitting .243 with three homers and 16 RBI on the season. He's also striking out 23 percent of the time he steps up to the plate. At this point, Pence is not a fantasy relevant option in standard leagues.
To make room for Pence, San Francisco demoted prized prospect Christian Arroyo back to Triple-A Sacramento. Arroyo was hitting .192 at the time of the demotion. Though, we can expect him to make it back to the big league club here soon.
