While has hasn't officially started his rehab, ace San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner will make an appearance for the team's rookie league team on Sunday. If all goes according to plan, this will lead to a rehab assignment later in the week and a potential return to the Majors prior to the All-Star Break.
Bumgarner has been sidelined since his fourth start of the season with a sprained AC join in his throwing shoulder. Without him on the hill, San Francisco entered Sunday's action with the second-worst record in the Majors.
It will be interesting to see how his rehab goes, as Bumgarner has proven to be among the best fantasy pitchers in the game. He's 0-3 on the season, but received a grand total of two runs of support on those three losses.
Last season saw the former All-Star pitch to a 15-9 record with 2.74 ERA with 251 strikeouts in 226.1 innings.
