Off to a slow start this season, the last-place Atlanta Braves will be without one of their core hitters for at least the next 10 days. 

Atlanta placed outfielder Matt Kemp on the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday with a strained right hamstring. 

The veteran had started the season strong, posting a .500 average with two homers, four RBI and 18 total bases in four games. This came on the heels of him posting a .280 average with 12 homers and 39 RBI in just 56 games after being acquired from San Diego lat season. 

With Kemp out of action, Johan Camargo has been recalled from Triple-A and Emilio Bonifacio will take over as the team's starting left fielder.
