Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley has landed on the disabled list once again. Brantley missed all 11 games to a shoulder injury last season, but appeared to be having a rebound campaign. The veteran entered this week's action hitting .296 with five homers, 28 RBI and seven stolen bases.
Unfortunately, he will now be out for the next week-plus with a sprained right ankle. This isn't horrible long-term news and he should be able to return here soon. Though, it does place into question his ability to hold up over the long term.
Dan Robertson started in left field in each of the past five games (while Brantley was on paternity leave). Expect him to continue being given a shot at an every-day job with Brantley out of action.
