The Baltimore Orioles will be without first baseman Chris Davis for the next week-plus. The team is expected to place the former All-Star on the 10-day disabled list with an oblique injury.
It's not yet known how long Davis will be on the shelf, but this is a big blow for the Orioles.
Davis is having a down season, posting a .226 average with 14 homers and 26 RBI. He also leads the AL with 95 strikeouts. Though, the veteran is averaging 43 homers over the past two seasons.
We will have further updates when they become available.
