Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez will sit out Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers with a sore neck. Perez has not been in the lineup since suffering the injury back on Thursday. Though, it could be a continuation of the neck injury Perez suffered during the World Baseball Classic back in March.
With Perez out of action, Drew Butera will draw the start as Kansas City's backstop for its series finale against the Rangers in Texas. Perez is hitting .258 with five homers and eight RBI thus far in the young season.
He continues to prove himself to be among the best power-hitting fantasy options at that position in the game. It will be interesting to see how long the All-Star is out for.
