New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez exited Saturday's game against the Baltimore Orioles with what appeared to be a hand injury. Following the game, it was reported that Sanchez actually suffred a biceps strained. The injury occurred in the fifth inning when Sanchez fouled off a pitch with an awkward looking swing. He was immediately pulled from the game.
Sanchez, 24, jumped on to the scene big time as a rookie last season — posting a .299 average with 20 homers and 42 RBI in just 202 at-bats. He's currently valued as one of the top fantasy catchers in the game.
A brief stint on the disabled list is likely here.
