Tied for the NL lead in homers with 16, Miami Marlins first baseman Justin Bour will be out for at least the next 10 days after the team placed on on the DL on Tuesday. Bour is dealing with a left ankle contusion.
The 29-year old is having a tremendous season for Miami, having posted a .295 average with 16 homers, 40 RBI and a .369 on-base percentage.
Needless to say, this is a major blow for those of you who went late round at first and have been relying on Bour's production through the first quarter-plus of the MLB season. Tyler Moore will fill in at first with Bour sidelined.
