The Baltimore Orioles will get All-Star closer Zach Britton back to the mix on Tuesday after he missed the past two-plus weeks with a forearm injury.
Britton's return was questionable after he struggled in a rehab outing late last week. But he was on point in an inning-plus of work on Sunday, and will rejoin the Orioles in time for the series against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday.
This is relatively big news for the Orioles' starting rotation. Britton ended last season posting a league-best 47 saves with a 0.54 ERA and 0.84 WHIP. He had put up a 1.29/1.86 split in six appearances before said injury.
