The Boston Red Sox and ace pitcher David Price are no closer to understanding what might be ailing his injured throwing elbow. According to the team, an MRI on his elbow Thursday came back inconclusive.
The good news here is that said MRI results didn't necessarily show something serious. The bad news is that Boston will have to shut Price down until it finds out exactly what is going on here.
Price complained of elbow soreness earlier in thw week, opting to decide for an MRI. While Boston doesn't think the injury itself is too serious, this is most definitely something to keep an eye on in the coming days.
Price, 31, posted a 17-9 record with a 3.99 ERA and 1.20 WHIP for the Red Sox last season — his first with the team.
