Injury Update: Yankees SS Didi Gregorius Could Miss Entire Month of April

New York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius suffered a shoulder injury while participating for The Netherlands in this year's World Baseball Classic. What was originality diagnosed as a minor injury could cost the slick-fielding middle infielder the entire first month of the regular season.

According to Yankees manager Joe Girardi, Gregorius suffered an unknown right shoulder injury and will be out for an extended time.

The 22-year-old Gregorius, primarily known for his glove, had a breakout performance at the play in his second year with the Yankees last season. He posted a .276 average with 20 homers, 70 RBI and 54 extra-base hits.

Considered a starting shortstop in the fake baseball world, it will surely be interesting to see how this impacts Gregorius's stock in preseason drafts.

With their starter out of action, Tyler Wade and Ronald Torreyes  will be sharing duties at short. Neither are fantasy-relevant options, so look elsewhere.
