The Miami Marlins received a relatively big scare on Saturday when star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton exited in the first inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates after he was hit in the hand.
Stanton immediately exited the game and was seen in considerable pain. For a guy that missed more than half the 2015 season due to a broken hand, this was a scary situation for Stanton and the Marlins.
Fortunately, it looks like this is a minor injury. Stanton is available to pinch hit on Sunday and will likely return to the Marlins' lineup on Tuesday.
Stanton, 27, is hitting .288 with 16 homers and 42 RBI on the season.
