Out since late April with a left hamstring strain, New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is expected to start his rehab assignment in the minors next week. This means Cespedes will soon return to the Mets, who themselves continue to be injury ravaged.
Cespedes, 31, started the season out strong from a power perspective. He hit six homers and drive in 10 runs over the first 18 games of the season.
He remains an elite fantasy option after putting up an average of 33 homers and 95 RBI over the previous two seasons. It will be interesting to see when he returns.
