Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout completed his four-game rehab assignment on Monday and is set to rejoin the team once the second half of the season kicks off on Friday.
Trout has been out since the end of May after suffering a torn ligament in his thumb following a head-first slide.
This is good news for both the second-place Angels and fantasy owners the world over. Prior to going down to injury, Trout was showing himself to be in MVP form, hitting .337 with 16 homers and 36 RBI in 47 games. Despite a lengthy layoff, there's no reason to believe he won't pick up where he left off back in May.
