Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado is not expected to land on the DL after being hit on the wrist Wednesday, but the All-Star is set to miss his third consecutive game.
Machado is not in the Orioles' lineup on Saturday evening. Instead, veteran Ruben Tejada will man the hot corner for Baltimore.
It will be interesting to see how lengthy Machado's absense is, but he might need to time off. The 2016 MVP candidate is hitting just .213 with a .289 on-base percentage thus far on the season. That came on the heels of him posting a .294/.343 split with 37 homers and 96 RBI last season.
