Baltimore Orioles veteran Chris Tillman has been the team's opening day starter in each of the past three seasons. During that very same span, he's won a team high 40 games.
It now looks like Tillman will open the 2017 season on the disabled list after undergoing a procedure on his throwing shoulder back in December.
This doesn't necessarily seem like a long-term injury. And in reality, we won't know exactly what early-season expectations will be for Tillman until more information comes out.
If Tillman does miss opening day, the Orioles can go with a four-man rotation until mid-April. At this point. Kevin Gausman will likely open the season on the hill for Baltimore. Heck, that might have already been the case if Tillman were 100 percent healthy.
