The Colorado Rockies will get All-Star third baseman and MVP candidate Nolan Arenado back in the lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Braves.
Arenado suffered a bruised hand on Sunday in a play that looked to be much more serious than it actually was. The slugger was able to appear in Monday's game in a pinch-hitting role.
This is huge news for a Rockies team that is attempting to grab home-field advantage in the wild card round against the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks.
Arenado, 26, is hitting .311 with 26 homers and an NL-leading 100 RBI on the season. He's also posting a ridiculous .360 OBP and .964 OPS on the season.
Taking on a Braves pitcher in Sean Newcomb that's posted a 1-7 record this season, Arenado becomes an elite-level DFS play on Monday. That's only magnified by the fact that the third baseman is posting a .340/.375/1.031 split at home on the season.
