The Colorado Rockies could be without leftfielder Gerardo Parra for as much as three weeks after he suffered a high-ankle sprain on a collision with shortstop Trevor Story on Tuesday.
Rockies manager Walt Weiss indicated the MRI showed a sprain, which can be considered some good news for the outfielder. It looked much more serious live.
Parra, 29, was hitting .263 with five homers and 27 RBI at the time of the injury, posting a .274 on-base percentage and .698 OPS in the process.
With Parra out, the expecation here has to be that Ryan Raburn will get the majority of the starts in left. He's .258 with six homers and 16 RBI on the season.
