For the second time this season, outfielder Jorge Soler is being sent down by the Kansas City Royals. It marks the continued struggles of the young outfielder who the Royals acquired in the Wade Davis deal this offseason, a move that hasn't quite worked out for Kansas City.
The 25-year-old outfielder started the year off the disabled list, then came back to the team in May. But his time with Royals has gone poorly with a .154/.245/.275 slash line, .230 wOBA and an ugly 34 wRC+. To make matters worse, Soler struck out in 33.3 percent and walked only 10.8 percent of the time.
It could be some time before we see Soler again. This is the second time he has been sent down and while he crushed Triple-A pitching before, doing that again may not earn him a promotion. Even in dynasty leagues, he is likely off the radar for fantasy.
