Shelby Miller's first season with the Arizona Diamondbacks has not really gone according to plan. After starting the year with a 1-6 record, 7.09 ERA and 1.86 WHIP in his first 10 starts, Miller was placed on the disabled list in late May with an injury to his right index finger.
Now, after almost a month on the shelf, Miller will return to the D'backs big-league club and its rotation.
The 25-year-old former Atlanta Braves All-Star will take to the bump against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday night.
From a DFS perspective, this is definitely something to keep an eye on. If Miller's struggles earlier in the year had to do with his injury, there's little doubt he will rebound. Though, we're going to want to see him perform at a high level for at least one start before buying on FanDuel.
Miller is coming off a 2015 campaign that saw him post a 3.02 ERA and 1.25 WHIP while striking out 7.5 batters per nine innings.
