At 6-13 on the season and in the midst of six losses in their past seven games, the San Francisco Giants are in need of a major jolt.
That's only magnified with injuries to Mac Williamson, Denard Span and Jarrett Parker.
The Giants have now made the decision to call up top prospect Christian Arroyo from Triple-A Sacramento. The infielder was hitting at a robust .446 with three homers and 12 RBI prior to being called up. He's in the lineup on Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers and will bat sixth. Arroyo replaces Eduardo Nunez as the team's every-day third baseman.
A first-round pick of the Giants back in 2013, Arroyo entered the season as the team's second-best prospect. He's surely a name to keep an eye on from a fantasy perspective.
