The Chicago White Sox pulled off quite the sneaky move on Wednesday, adding All-Star third baseman Todd Frazier from the Cincinnati Reds in a three-team trade that also includes the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The deal sends three prospects, including infielder Jose Peraza from the Dodgers to the Reds.
Meanwhile, three more prospects, including Trace Thompson (brother of Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson) will head from the White Sox to the Dodgers in the deal.
Frazier, 29, gives the White Sox another power bat to go with Jose Abreu. He hit .255 with 35 homers and 89 RBI's in an All-Star 2015 campaign. Overall, the third baseman is averaging 32 homers, 85 RBI's and 17 stolen bases over the past two seasons, earning an All-Star appearance each year.
With Frazier's addition, new acquisition Brett Lawrie will likely more from third to second, giving the White Sox a strong hitting infield.
