If we had one pick for the AL MVP over two months into the season, it would have to be New York Yankees rookie outfielder Aaron Judge.
Including Sunday's two-homer, three-RBI, Judge has now hit 21 homers to go with 47 RBI in 58 games. He's also leading the AL in average with an absurd .344 mark. One of Judge's two homers against Baltimore on Sunday traveled almost 500 feet and is now the longest homer since MLB started keeping track of the stat in 2009.
From where we stand right now, what Judge has done is nothing short of extraordinary. He's currently on pace to hit 57 homers and drive in 127 runs. Did we mention that Judge boasts a .450 on-base percentage and has already racked up 54 runs scored?
We're not sure if this is sustainable, but we do know that Judge is for real. He's now taking his second trips around the American League and is still raking at an absolutely ridiculous clip.
It will be interesting to see what happens moving forward this season, but Judge remains a clear-cut MVP choice in the AL and one of the top fantasy players thus far on the season.
