Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson: I’d Love to F*** Up Roy Nelson

Former UFC and PRIDE champion Quinton Jackson is one of the most outspoken veterans in the fight game, so it’s no surprise he was an open book in a recent interview with MMA Mania.

“Rampage,” who announced that he may move from light heavyweight to heavyweight under the Bellator banner, got straight to the point when asked about a potential fight with top 10 UFC heavyweight, Roy Nelson.

“I would love to fight Roy Nelson. F*** him up,” Jackson said frankly.

While Rampage was near the top of pound-for-pound lists during his PRIDE days, he appears to be slowing down at 35-years-old.

The Wolfslair MMA Academy standout opted not to negotiate a new contract with the UFC after losing three fights in a row.

Jackson hasn’t tasted victory since winning a lackluster decision over Matt Hamill at UFC 130 in May 2011.

On the other hand, “Big Country” was a dark horse title contender after scoring three straight first round knockouts, earning the number 5 spot in the UFC’s official heavyweight rankings.

However, Nelson took a short-notice fight against underrated prospect Stipe Miocic at UFC 161 earlier this month and suffered a huge upset, being unable to keep up with his opponent’s varied striking attack and superior conditioning.

That bout was the last one on Nelson’s UFC contract, so it remains to be seen if the UFC will resign the portly power puncher or if Bellator retains his services.
