UFC 155: Junior dos Santos Tweets About Flight Issues Getting to Las Vegas

UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos headlines the UFC 155 card this Saturday in a rematch with Cain Velasquez … that is if he ever successfully makes it to Las Vegas.

On Christmas Eve Monday, JDS sent out a series of tweets explaining that his travels from Central America to Las Vegas, Nevada were not going very smoothly.

“We spend 6 hours flying from Salvador to Sao Paulo normally this flight takes 2 hours. The airline company lie to us saying the airport was … closed … It’s so disrespectful. Now I lost my fight (sic) to Vegas and having a lot of other problems it’s very frustrating”

Moving forward to Christmas on Tuesday, the hard-hitting Brazilian tweeted at 5:17 p.m. Eastern Time that he had a flight rescheduled and that he was hoping to avoid any more complications.

“I’m On my way to airport and I hope tonight everything is gonna be all right with our flight to Vegas”

UFC 155 takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena and marks dos Santos’ second title defense. He won the title from Velasquez back at UFC on FOX 1 in November of last year, handing the former Arizona State Sun Devil his first professional loss.

“Cigano” is currently riding a 10-fight win streak, including eight finishes, over the likes of Fabricio Werdum, Stefan Struve, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin.

Will these travel issues improves Velasquez’s chances against the champion or will it simply be an afterthought after JDS scores another impressive knockout victory?
