A key featherweight match up has been added to the UFC’s already stacked summer schedule.

MMA Fighting reported Wednesday night that surging contender Ricardo Lamas will fight fan favorite Chan Sung Jung at UFC 162, set for the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lamas has been on absolute tear even since dropping down from lightweight, rattling off four straight wins against quality opponents in Matt Grice, Cub Swanson, Hatsu Hioki and Erik Koch.

Out of those opponents, only Hioki managed to go the distance with “The Bully.”

Meanwhile, after going 0-2 under the WEC banner, “The Koran Zombie” rattled off three incredible finishes in the UFC from March 2011 and May 2012.

During that time, Sung Jung won four “Fight Night” bonuses: two “Submissions of the Night,” one “Knockout of the Night” and one “Fight of the Night.”

His twister submission over Leonard Garcia is the one and only twister submission ever seen in the UFC, earning him the 2011 “Submission of the Year.”

Additionally, his battle with Dustin Poirier at UFC on FUEL 3 in May secured him the 2012 “Fight of the Year” honors.

Heading into this match up, Lamas is ranked the number two featherweight in the world, while Sung Jung is ranked number four, according to the UFC’s official rankings.

The winner of this bout will more than likely fight for the featherweight title. Current divisional champ Jose Aldo defends his strap against former WEC lightweight title holder Anthony Pettis on Aug. 3.
